Title: | Protein-protein interactions as target for new therapeutic molecules |
Creators Name: | Klussmann, E. |
Abstract: | Major human diseases are caused or are associated with disturbances of compartmentalised cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) signalling networks. The participants of the European research project "thera-cAMP" aim to identify lead compounds, which specifically modulate protein-protein interactions in such signalling cascades. The approach could lead to alternative strategies for the treatment for diseases that are currently not addressed effectively by conventional pharmacotherapy. |
